  • You are a resident Indian and above 18 years of age
  • You have at least one active HDFC Bank Salary, Savings, Current, Loan or Credit Card Account
  • As a Savings/Salary/Current Account holder, you have an active Debit Card/NetBanking details handy for verification

Who Can Apply for an Address Change in Bank Account?

For Resident Individual/ AUS/ BO:

  • Resident Individuals, Authorised Signatories, and Beneficial Owners can update their address digitally via Aadhaar eKYC through NetBanking, the MobileBanking App, or InstaServices.
  • You can also visit a branch with the address change form and valid OVD proof (documentation details mentioned in the following section).

For Non-Resident Indian:

  • Non-Resident Indians can update their address via NetBanking, visit a branch with the form and ID/address proof, or courier self-attested, notarised copies of their ID and address documents.

Ways to Update Address in Bank Account: Online & Offline Modes

Via Website

  • Go to www.hdfc.bank.in and in the menu, select Need Help > Accounts/Deposit Services > Address change
  • Enter your Registered Mobile Number along with Date of Birth / PAN / Customer ID.

  • Authenticate using the 6-digit OTP received on your registered mobile number.

  • Select the eKYC option to confirm your identity and click on ‘Continue’

  • Provide your Aadhaar number or Virtual ID (VID) to generate an OTP

  • Click on ‘+Add New’ and provide your new address or select from the existing addresses if you want to update your Bank Account address

  • Review and confirm your new/updated address

  • You will receive an acknowledgement message/number confirming the update request.

  • The bank will verify your request, and once approved, your updated address will be reflected in your account records.

  • Open the HDFC Bank MobileBanking App.

  • Login in using your credentials.

  • Go to the side bar menu and click on ‘Profile Details’.

  • Tap on the update option next to Communication Address.

  • Log in to NetBanking using your Customer ID and password.

  • Review the details and submit the request.

You will receive confirmation via SMS or email once the update is processed.

  • Download or collect the address change form from your nearest HDFC Bank branch.
