Prerequisites Before You Change Email ID in Bank Account

Resident Individual / AUS / BO:

  • You can update your Email ID digitally via NetBanking, MobileBanking, or InstaServices.
  • You may also submit a physical form at the branch to update your Email ID.

Non-Resident Indian:

  • You can update your Email ID digitally via NetBanking, MobileBanking, ATM, WhatsApp, or Insta Services.
  • Alternatively, you may submit the Contact Details Updation Form with a self-attested copy of your ID proof via your registered email ID, or visit the branch.

Sole Proprietorship:

  • You can update your Email ID digitally via InstaServices.
  • You may also visit the branch and submit a physical form with your ID proof (OVD).

  • Partnership Firm, Pvt/Public Ltd Company, LLP, HUF, TASC, etc., can update their Email ID by visiting the branch with their ID proof (OVD) and authorised signatories for submitting the form.

Documents Required to Update Email ID in Your Bank Account

Identity Proof

Customer Request Form

  • Fill and sign the Customer Request Form at the branch to update your registered email ID at the bank branch.

Self-Attested Document Copy

  • Submit a self-attested photocopy of the identity proof along with the request form.

Methods to Update Email ID in Your Bank Account

Via Website

  • Go to www.hdfc.bank.in and in the menu, select Need Help > Accounts/Deposit Services > Update E-mail ID
  • Enter your registered mobile number along with DOB/PAN/customer ID for verification.

  • Enter the OTP received on the registered mobile number.

  • Read and agree to the terms and conditions and submit the OTP.

  • Enter your new email ID in the “enter new email address” field and verify using the OTP received on your new email ID.

  • Confirm your identity by entering the last 4 digits of your Debit Card ATM PIN, expiry date, and CVV. You can also confirm your identity through NetBanking via your user id and password. Your new email ID will be updated after 48 hours.

  • Submit and wait for confirmation via SMS/email.
